Michael
Vitaly Sazonov, a Washington DC Native, has appeared numerous times at The Kennedy Center (Mister Roberts with Hunter
Foster, A Streetcar Named Desire with Patricia Clarkson, andThe
Phantom Tollbooth. Currently he is understudying their national tour of
Teddy Roosevelt and the Treasure of Ursa Major). Also around town Michael
has been seen at Roundhouse Theatre (Summer of ’42); Quotidian Theatre
Company (Valentine’s Day); Olney Theatre Center (Cinderella);
Firebelly Productions (Lend Me a Tenor); and The Modlin Center for the
Arts in Richmond (Autobahn and Lost in the Appalachians).
Michael has his own cabaret-style, one-man show: My Well Schooled Heart,
that he has performed to sell-out houses at Maggie’s Cabaret and Indigo at the
Atlas Center for Performing Arts. Coming up this season Michael is excited to be
a part of Mariela in the Desert by Karen Zacarias at Theatre of the
First Amendment directed by Nick Olcott, and staged readings at Arena Stage and
the Kennedy Center's New Visions New Voices Festival. Michael is a proud member
of the DC Cabaret Network and the Actor’s Equity Association.
