My Well Schooled Heart
the education of a young, modern day romantic

Michael Vitaly Sazonov invites you to join him as he travels on that bumpy road through Love, Loss, Lust, and Life in his new cabaret-style, one-man show, MY WELL SCHOOLED HEART. After enjoying sell-out performances at the Indigo Cabaret Series at the Atlas Performing Arts Center and Maggie’s Cabaret in Dupont, Michael takes his WELL SCHOOLED HEART to the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop.
Passionately evoking such musical contemporaries as John Bucchino, Andrew Lippa, and Stephen Sondheim as well as reverently conjuring some of his old favorites like Cole Porter, Kurt Weill, and Jule Styne, Michael delicately blends contemporary wit and classic charm in a journey that will seduce you with its daring and marvelously funny revelations.
“Look out Harry Connick Jr. – Northern Virginia has come up with its answer to the cajun crooner. Michael Vitaly Sazonov performs his lounge-y one-man show, ‘My Well Schooled Heart’…” (“Art Beat” on WAMU, 88.5). Join him for a night of romantic music and passionate storytelling you’ll not soon forget.
Accompanied by Music Director Alex Tang on the piano and
Directed by cabaret veteran, Judy Simmons.
